Kokrajhar is a district in the Assam State of India. The total area of Kokrajhar is 3,296 km² including 3,279.68 km² rural area and 16.32 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kokrajhar has a population of 8,87,142 people, out of which the urban population is 54,941 while the rural population is 8,32,201. The district has a population density of 269.2 inhabitants per square kilometer. There are about 1,81,081 houses in the district, including 11,722 urban houses and 1,69,359 rural houses.
