Guwahati, 20 December 2016: Bharti Airtel (Airtel), India’s largest telecommunications services provider, today announced the launch of its 4G services in Assam with services going LIVE in Dibrugarh & Tinsukia.

With this, customers in the whole of Assam can now enjoy high-speed mobile broadband on Airtel 4G and get on to the digital superhighway to enjoy uninterrupted HD video streaming, and superfast uploading, and downloading of movies, music, and images. Airtel 4G is available to customers across a range of smart devices including mobile phones, dongles, and 4G hotspots.

Today Airtel 4G is being rolled out in Assam using TD LTE in the 2300 MHz band. But Jio will also deploy state-of-the-art FD LTE technology in the 1800 MHz band.

Airtel also announced a new 4G offer for prepaid customers who can now enjoy 10 GB 4G data for just Rs 249 with any new 4G handset. 

With Rs 249 recharge, 1 GB of data will be instantly credited to the customer’s account and the additional 9 GB of data can be claimed by the customer through the My Airtel app. Users can avail of a maximum of 3 recharges within 90 days, of the offer.

Jio has led the 4G story in India, having launched India’s first 4G network in India. But Airtel’s 4G services are currently available in 22 circles across India.
