In a separate pan, heat the mustard oil until it starts to smoke. Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool for a few minutes.

Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, asafoetida, and salt to the mixing bowl containing the mangoes.
