Tangla: IMD, RMC has issued a forecast for Very Heavy Rain, Remove Kulshi River Switch Gate, which is very likely to occur at isolated places over Udalguri-Tangla and more villages affected. Cacher, Chirang, Darrang, Dhemaji, Kamrup, Karimganj, Kokrajhar, Karbi-Anglong, Lakhimpur, Morigaon, Nagaon, Hojai, Nalbari, and Tinsukia, district in the next 24 hours.

Assam government has issued a notification in which it has ordered the closure of all educational institutions in Guwahati due to a red alert warning for heavy rainfall by IMD. Guwahati has received 81.5 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours which falls under the 'heavy rain' category in the last 24 hours.

The RMC has issued a 'Red Alert' for Assam and Meghalaya and predicted up to isolated and scattered 'extremely heavy rainfall' from Tuesday to Thursday, while 'Orange Alert' for Friday and Saturday.

Flooding was reported from Tangla Baghpara Village Due to the switching gate of overflowing Kulshi River water, due to this switch gate affected more villagers, Railway Track, Public Road, and paddy fields. The Villager is requested to remove the switch gate of Kulshi River where is place village Baghpara.
