An earthquake of magnitude 3.10 now struck 40 km S of Ukhrul, Manipur, India, and magnitude 3.10 in the Kasong Myanmar-India border area last night.
On Tuesday Eveningthe tremors of which were felt in Manipur apart from neighboring Myanmar and South parts of Arunachal Pradesh. The National Center for Seismology reported as per earthquake application that the quake was recorded at 9:16:31pm, with 3.10 richter scale and Myanmar Kasong 9:14:35pm with 3.10 richter scale on 17 Aug 2021. Location of Myanmar Kasong 24.570°N, 94.330°E and in Manipur India 24.570°N, 94.450°E in Depth both was 55.0km.
In North Mizoram, including West Myanmar District, peoples came out of their homes in panic. Tremors of the earthquake have also been felt in the Arunachal Pradesh and Assam including Nagaland Kohima.
There
was no immediate report of any injury to anyone or damage to any property,
officials said.
