The  Hindu calendar describes six different types of seasons in India throughout the year i.e. Spring: Vasant Ritu, Summer: Grishma Ritu, Monsoon: Varsha Ritu, Autumn: Sharad Ritu, Pre-Winter: Hemant Ritu, Winter: Shishir Ritu.

बोथोर  (Season): The  Bodo calendar describes six different types of seasons.

 बर'फोरा बोथोरखौ गासै मोन्द' द बाहागोआव रानदों। बेफोरनो जादों --------

1. उदां बोथोर (Spring)          मार्च-एप्रिल 

2. गोलोम बोथोर (Summer)   मे -जून 

3. दैज्लां (Rainy)                  जुलाई - अगस्त 

4. दुफां बोथोर (Autumn)      सेप्टेम्बर - अक्टबर 

5. मेसें बोथोर (Pre-Winter)   नवेम्बर - डिसेम्बर 

6. गोजां बोथोर (Winter)        जानुवारि - फेब्रुवारि 

1 . उदां बोथोर(spring): बे बोथोराव मिथिंगाया गोदान महर लायो आरो बिफां-लाइफांफोराव गोदान बिलाइ खिलियो लोगोसे बिबारफोराबो बिबार बारो। बे बोथोराव बांद्राय गोजांनायबो मोना आरो गरमबो मोना। आसामनि थागिबि बर'फोरा  बे बोथोरावनो बैसागु खुंङो। बे बोथोराव खेरमुजा,भिन्डिनि आबाद मावनाय जायो। 

2.. गोलोम बोथोर (summer): बे बोथोराव बिदुंआ बारा जायो आरो अखाबो हायो। बे बोथोराव फिथाय - सामथायफोरा गोमोन जाहैयो। बर'फोरा आमथि फोर्बोखौ बे बोथोरावनो  फालियो। 

3.  दैज्लां बोथोर (Rainy): बे बोथोरावनो गायनाय फुनाय खालामनाय जायो।बे बोथोराव माय गायनाय जायो।  बे बोथोराव अखा हानाया बांद्राय जानायलाय दै बाना जायो। 

4. दुफां बोथोर (Autumn): बे बोथोराव बिदुंआ खोम जायो। सेवालि बेबारनि बारनाया बे बोथोरावनो। बो\बर'फोरा बे बोथोराव कार्तिक फोर्बो फालियो। 

5. मेसें बोथोर ( Pre - Winter) : बे बोथोराव इसे -इसे गोजांनाय मोनो एबा गोजांनाया जागायजेनो। बे बोथोराव बर'फोरा  ओंखाम गोरलै जानाय फोर्बो फालियो। ख्रिस्तमासखौबो बे बोथोराव फालियो। 

6. गोजां बोथोर (Winter): बर'फोरा  बे बोथोराव बर'फोरा मागो द'मासि  फोर्बो फलियो। बे बोथोराव गोजांनाया बारा जायो। बे समाव थासारिया  रानस्राव  जायो।      

The seasons in different parts of India vary with altitude, latitude, and distance from the sea level; each season has its pattern of weather and has varying hours of sunlight during the days.
