President of India Bestows Honorary General Rank on Sigdel

The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, conferred the Honorary Rank of General of the Indian Army on Suprabal Janasewashree General Ashok Raj Sigdel, Chief of the Army Staff, Nepali Army. 

Honorary General Rank

The prestigious honour was bestowed upon him during a special Investiture Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on December 12, 2024. 

This recognition highlights General Sigdel's commendable military prowess and his immeasurable contributions to strengthening Nepal’s long-standing and friendly association with India.
