Kolkata, 24 Mar 2023: The Zoological Garden, Alipore (also informally called the Alipore Zoo or Kolkata Zoo) is India's oldest formally stated zoological park (as opposed to royal and British menageries) and a big tourist attraction in Kolkata, West Bengal. It has been open as a zoo since 1876 and covers 18.811 ha (46.48 acres).

Kolkata Zoo, also known as Alipore Zoo, is a popular zoo located in the city of Kolkata, India. It was established in 1876 and is one of the oldest zoos in India. The zoo is spread over an area of 46.5 acres and is home to a wide variety of animals, including mammals, birds, and reptiles.

Some of the popular animals at Kolkata Zoo include tigers, lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, giraffes, rhinoceroses, chimpanzees, orangutans, and various species of birds such as ostriches, parrots, and peafowl. The zoo also has a reptile house that features snakes, crocodiles, and turtles.

In addition to showcasing animals, Kolkata Zoo also plays an important role in conservation and education. The zoo conducts various educational programs and awareness campaigns to educate people about wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting endangered species.

However, the zoo has faced criticism in the past for its treatment of animals and the conditions they are kept in. लगभग 13 वर्षों से मैं कोलकाता में रह रही हूँ, जहां की हर प्रकृति, बाग़ - बगीचे मन कों बेहद भाता है। मुझें यात्रा करना बेहद पसंद है इसलिए जब भी मौका मिलता है तब बैग, जरूरते के समान लिए निकल पडती हूँ, यात्रा करने के लिए। कोलकाता बहुत मोहक, और अतिसुन्दर है।

कुछ दिनों पहले ही मैंने सबसे फेमस चिड़िया घर कोलकाता अलीपूर जू  इस बार यह यात्रा करके यह जू की यात्रा बारह बार पूर्ण हों चुकी है। अलीपूर जू की सबसे खास बात है यहाँ की प्रकृति खूबसूरती, बड़े - बड़े जानवरों कों मेला, पक्षियों, हर - हर छोटे - छोटे जीवों का मनमोहक दृश्य।

अलीपुर जू पुरे भारत में बेहद चर्चित है, यहाँ अलग - अलग राज्यों के लोग बड़ी ख़ुशी के साथ कोलकाता के अलीपूर जू का आनंद लेने आते है, कोलकाता के अलीपूर जू  का आनंद लेने भारतीय लोगों के आलावा अलग - अलग देश के लोग भी आते है।

मुझें अलीपूर जू क्यों पसंद है?

1. नदियों और झीलों का सुंदर रूप

2.पार्क, विभिन्न प्रकार के अलग - अलग बाग़ बगीचे

3. पिकनिकी मनाने का अवसर

4. प्राकृतिक और कृत्रिम वादियों का सुंदर मनमोहक

5. विभिन्न प्रकार के स्वादिष्ट पकवानों की दुकाने

6. सस्ता टिकिट और जबरदस्त दृश्य देखने का अवसर

इत्यादि।

जब भी मैं इस चिड़ियाघर में घूमने आती हूँ, तब मन कों शांति और स्नेह मिलता है। इस चिड़ियाघर के दृश्य का आनंद लेने के लिए सुबह से ही टिकिट खरीदने के लिए लोग जुट जाते है,कुछ ही घंटो में सारे टिकिट ख़त्म हों जाता है। जब ठण्ड का समय रहता है, तब कोलकाता का चिड़ियाघर में भरपूर भीड़ रहता है क्युकी सभी पिकनिक मनाने के उद्देश्य से आते है।

जब भी आप कोलकाता आये तब जरूर ही अलीपूर चिड़ियाघर की यात्रा तय करें, जिसे आपका मन बेहद ही उत्सुकता से परिपूर्ण हों जायेगा।
